Ana Kristina Gasteyer (born January 1st, 1970) is an American performer, actor comedian, and singer. Her most notable performance was when she was a part of the NBC sketch comedy series Saturday Night Live, from 1997 until 2002. She has since starred such shows as the sitcom ABC's Suburgatory TBS People of Earth NBC American Auto and Mean Girls. Her career began as a Northwestern University voice student, before switching to theater when she became involved in the improv troupe on campus. This spirit was carried through to her supporting roles such as the controlling Sheila Shay in Suburgatory, and the zany Karen Grisham on Lady Dynamite.
